Pair of sterling silver textured oblong cufflinks with carved detail depicting the letter D.
Ogham is an Irish Alphabet from 400 AD. The Ogham letter D represents the Oak tree. This takes the form of two parallel lines carved in stone to the left of a perpendicular. The Oak symbolises the underworld god Donn. Oak also symbolises Kinship, strength, and fertility.
Cufflinks are 19.5 mm long with mechanical fittings.
Hallmarked in Dublin.

While studying in NCAD, Dublin I was introduced to metals as a medium for expression. Marrying a childhood curiosity around culture to this material was fascinating to me.
